I made a blog background last night. I did not make a header with this one.. maybe I will later but I have been wicked tired the past few days and my birthday is this weekend. I want to have some energy to enjoy that. My husband and I are going to his mom's tomorrow for thanksgiving - wooo turkey lol! Anyway.. on to the layout :) I made this using the awesome tagger size kit - The Saga: Bad Vamps by Cora's Creations.

I have another blog layout done, I did two versions of this one. One is 'plain' and the other has a few more elements used to 'fancy it up' a little. I couldn't decide which way I like it best so I'm offering both out. I made these using a kit called Frosted Kiss by The Urban Fairy.

Yeah that's right I rock... hahaha!! Okay I can nicely put together the awesome pieces from scrapkits.. I am a good assembler. Anyway I have made a layout and a quick page from that layout. Woot, I felt a little creative spurt tonight and made a blog layout. I haven't been making them very much lately and I forgot how much I enjoy it. I've been more busy with trying to do scrap pages and tags when I have time for psp. The blog layout felt good and just might spark a couple more before I'm done.. hehe! For this layout i used a kit called Bon Temps Magnolia by HezaScraps.

That last post took me awhile to finish, I wandered off in the middle of it - distracted by other things as usual. I was also working on a layout at the same time, I really need to learn to do one thing at a time. That probably wont happen anytime soon! So anyway I was playing around in my psp while I was supposed to be posting and I ended up making this layout, after I get this posted, I think maybe I'll go to bed. I made this using a scrapkit called A Shabby Christmas by Gemini Creationz.

Hey there :) I'm back to post up a couple layouts I did tonight. (Since I haven't posted much in that department lately.) My son was sick this past weekend and then my husband wasn't feeling well this week.. I was a little distracted :( I wasn't feeling the greatest myself but I'm doing better and the boys are well. Okay so on to the layouts.. both were made with the same kit it's a pretty cool kit called Wordless by Ariana's Kreations. I'm not one who is big on green when it comes to papers, yet I used them in both layouts and had quite a bit of fun in making these.

Heh that's just the name of the kit I used for the two layouts I made today. This kit has loads of pink and black - which is awesome for me since I love both those colors. It's a nice (bright) break from the red kick I have been on with my tags. Not that I won't still use plenty red if I feel like it, it was just a nice change and the kit was fun to use.

I have yet another layout for your viewing pleasure. In this one I tried to capture the theme of imagination, which went well with both the kit and pictures of my son outside playing.. the only 'toy' he had was a stick he'd picked up in the yard..

I made another layout today.. yes I know you must be shocked since I don't make them often - lol! Anyway.. My wedding and pictures of my son are truly my favorite things to scrap.. It's hard to decide which one I enjoy using more - the only reason I make more layouts with my wedding at this moment is because I need a new scanner.

I made this layout with a kit called 'Love is in the air' by Totally Twisted Scraps. It's a very pretty kit and as you might be able to tell from the name, quite nice to scrap my wedding and anything 'love'.

Seriously.. anyone want a beagle? Sorry my dog was being a pain, now he's sleeping.. grr argh! lol. Alright here are two layouts I made on the 14th. I made both layouts with the same kit, it's a great one for the kids and for those first day of school pics. It's called Back 2 School from Cora's Creations. You can find her kits at Sophisti-Scraps.

This first page surprised me because I -hate- orange! But I created this page with a bunch of it and I like how it came out. The elements in this kit were fun - love the chalk :)

On this second layout I tried out some different elements and papers. I also experiemented with layering the string over and under the frame. and of course I used pictures of Mikey for both :

The first layout I am going to post is one I made on the 13th, I got it up into my galleries but never got it posted here. That was the night I was scrapping away and then looked at the clock and went 'oh crap!' (oops) I tend to do that alot, being a night owl and all but on that night I needed to sleep since I had plans the next day with Rick's mom and grammie.

I made this layout using a kit called "Symphony" by Kiki Halbert at Scrapbook-Elements.com. The papers in this kit are really neat, a couple of them gave me the feel of being in a dream which is how I came up with the idea of using pictures of Mikey sleeping for the layout. There are lots of cool elements as you can see some of them in this layout. I tried to do something different rather than just a picture in a frame with this one. I like to try different things, sometimes they turn out really good and sometimes they don't. I think this one turned out pretty neat! Once I get my scanner hooked up, I will definitely want to make more layouts with this kit so I can use more of what is in it.

I was able to CT another kit today from The Urban Fairy, The kit is called Cupid Caught and is available for purchase at OSDS. I fell in love with the word art from the start and that's what pulled me in. The colors are beautiful, appropriately in shades of pink and red. I scrapped some of my wedding pictures and made the layouts into quickpages to share with y'all.

Cupid Caught CT stuff

I was able to CT another kit today from The Urban Fairy, this is one of her older kits and she was like 'remember it's an older kit'.. Well let me say it's fantastic! In my humble opinion. I fell in love with the word art from the start and that's what pulled me in. The colors are beautiful, appropriately in shades of pink and red. The frames and elements are great, there were two frames that I just totally love. I used them in both of the layouts I made, I usually try to use different ones but these were too perfect not to use again. I scrapped some of my wedding pictures and these frames had just the right touch for them. The kit is called Cupid Caught and is available for purchase at OSDS.

I played with A Fae For All Seasons some more today, this is the kit I used for my tut last night and I fell in love with the colors. So I decided I needed to do some more with it, and I did.. I made two layouts. The first one is a blog layout which I have used on my tutorial blog. http://lovelytrippntuts.blogspot.com/

And this second one is one with a couple of my pics, I was just messing around with the kit to see what different things could be done with it. I prefer kits which are versatile and can be used for many different projects. This kit is definitely on that list :)

Haircut!

The whole family got haircuts today. A friend of my mother in law comes to her house to do hers and offered to give the rest of us a trim as well. She does a really nice job and we were all happy with how each of ours came out. I snapped a few shots of my son after we got back home, when I asked him about his expression and all - he replied with 'just being cool'. It cracked me up but I used it in the wording on the layout.

For this layout I used a scrapkit called Butterfly Wishes by Melissaz Creationz. It's a neat kit with lots of bright colors - great for a boy or even a girl as there are flowers and butterflies among the papers and elements.

I don't have many personal pics on my computer so I ended up working on this page and not having my own pics to use in it. That's how it ensed up a quick page. Now that I've done it, I'm totally excited about it! Of course I'll get better at them with more practice.. hehe now I have an excuse to play more.. anyway onto the page..

Rock On blog

I have finished another layout, this one looks pretty simple but it took me awhile to finish it and get it to look like this.. or rather it took me doing it over a bunch of times. The kit I was working with was pretty cool but I just couldn't get the right combination of papers and elements - aaghhh I hate when that happens. I almost gave up but then I decided one more try.. and voila! It all just came together. It was likely all the distractions from the family earlier tonight that kept me from getting this one easily. Darn family - don't they know I'm creating here? lol!
Anyway here is the layout and I think I'm going to do a tag with this kit tomorrow, I got a bunch of ideas in that direction while working on the layout. If anyone wants to use this - please save to your own photohost and use the credits below the preview.

Autumn feel.. ?

Here is a background that I made recently, it was used on my RP website for awhile as part of the autumn theme. I have just changed the site to a blue and wintery kind of theme. I wanted to share this autumn-ish background for anyone who might like to use it for their website or even a blog if it will work for them. anyway - here it is.

Here is a background I made for one of my blogs which I had planned to keep all for myself but then I changed my mind about doing the other blog.. I had it on this blog for a few days but it really wasn't what I wanted here, even though I liked it. So here is the background for anyone who might like to use it :)

I'm popping in with my sore little fingers (from yardwork) to share this blog background I made. This one was created for a pirate rp blog I was thinking of doing. As said before I decided not to do all the different blogs. I have my writing (rp stuff) all on one site - and I was thinking of doing blogs for different ones but after some discussion with my main writing partner on those projects, we decided keeping it all in one spot was easier for us. Anyway... enough with the chatter and on to the background :) If anyone likes it and would like to use it, snag away!

Here is another background that I made, this one was originally meant for a blog I had planned to do, but as previously mentioned in other posts, too many blogs can be a bad thing. I really liked this background even though I did decide not to use it at this point and it's not my typical style or color preference. But I figure someone else may like it. Anyone who would like to use it can snag it.

Purple & Grunge?

This is a blog background that I made a couple days ago. I was going to use it on the layouts blog but now have decided it's easier for me to keep track of stuff if I keep most of my creation stuff together. I do have a seperate blog for AC stuff I am trying to set up and there is such a thing as too many blogs, I guess. Anyway I am now offering the background to anyone who would like to use it for their blog.

This is a variation of the earlier purple background I posted. The monster grows...

Well it appears I have been inspired by the work of the very talented people I rub shoulders with or their blogs which I have passed through. I have now created two blog backgrounds/layouts. The first was a try to see if I could do one and the second was one I started messing around with and then shared with a friend who liked it enough to put it on their blog! To me that is the ultimate compliment, to have made something and to see it being used by someone who truly enjoys and appreciates it.

It all began with an idea.. that idea was for me to create my own background/layout for one of my blogs because the site I was getting my premade ones from didn't have one that suited that blog good enough. So I gave it a try and it worked.. I made a decent layout, not for the blog I was looking for one to suit, but just a basic layout to see if I could do it. Then I started playing with another, I had to leave before I was finished (or so I thought) and when I came home I shared the layout I was working on with a friend. She liked it so much, I added a couple of finishing touches and gave it to her for her blog... This is where the creative monster inside me reared it's head and decided that my pitiful little talent was going to branch out into creating blog layouts.. and while we're at it, if we can do those why not real scrap pages/layouts? You see where this is heading? The monster is hungry and it has made me stay up late again (it's near 4am here) and now it's made me create this blog to test my new layouts and also to share them. Because you see to truly test them.. properly that is, the blog can't be empty. Sometimes the monster makes sense and that is when it scares me the most...

This first example is the very first background I tried my hand at, it's not super fancy but I think it's cute in it's way. I used a scrap kit from Sentimental Style called My Inspiration. If anyone would like to use this background for your blog, feel free to save a copy and do so. The only thing I ask is that you do not claim it as your own creation.

For this second background I used papers and elements from the following two scrap kits: Cinzia Loosemore 'Urban Grunge' and Carrie Stephens 'Savannah Sophisticate'. This one is a small size example and is not open for people to use (sorry). I've decided that it's an 'exclusive' for my friend's blog and I'm not going to offer it to anyone else. I guess you could call that a perk of being my friend although I did tell her she had to give my blog lots of love and leave comments about how great I am. lol! (What? So I'm insecure and need lots of reassurance, we all have our issues, lol)
